{"id":48381,"date":"2026-05-16T20:54:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-16T20:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/48381\/"},"modified":"2026-05-16T20:54:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-16T20:54:07","slug":"drake-iceman-toronto-takeover-sends-fans-back-to-local-ice-cream-shop-behind-drakes-chocolate-peanut-butter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/48381\/","title":{"rendered":"Drake Iceman Toronto takeover sends fans back to local ice cream shop behind \u2018Drake\u2019s chocolate peanut butter\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What to know<\/p>\n<p>Dutch Dreams in Toronto claims it was Drake\u2019s favourite spot for ice cream growing up in the city.<\/p>\n<p>The shop now features \u201cDrake\u2019s Chocolate Peanut Butter\u201d in his honour.<\/p>\n<p>The Dutch ice cream shop owner recalls fond memories of serving the future superstar and his mother.<\/p>\n<p>Before Drake put \u201cToronto on the map,\u201d he was an ordinary Toronto-born child visiting his local ice cream shop, and the recent Iceman mania is sending fans back to the shop behind where the owners reminisced about serving him in his younger years.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dutchdreams.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Dutch Dreams<\/a> has been a long-standing Dutch ice cream shop since the 1980s.<\/p>\n<p>There are currently 36 flavours, all made with Kosher ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with @<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DYS2k_bO7AU\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">hushblankets<\/a> on Instagram, owner Theo Aben shared fond memories of Drake as a kid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDrake grew up coming here when he was a little boy. This was his spot,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s a Toronto kid,\u201d Aben proudly added.<\/p>\n<p>But he recalled a night when three famous actors were in the store. That same night, Drake\u2019s mother was talking to Theo, shocked that such famous people visited that store, Aben said in the TikTok clip. Ironically enough, years later, her son is one of those famous people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDrake was a little boy back then. Look at what happened to Drake.
