With temperatures expected to warm up and a long weekend upon the city, <\/a>multiple businesses and services will be closed on Victoria Day.<\/p>\n

The long weekend is the unofficial kick-off to summer, prompting Ontario Provincial Police to issue reminders to obey the law. Officers will be out conducting road enforcement checks throughout the weekend. <\/p>\n

Those venturing out for a road trip should check out the\u00a0gas prices in Ottawa<\/a>\u00a0and plan ahead to know when to fill up.<\/p>\n

Grocery stores<\/p>\n

Most big chain grocery stores, No Frills, Food Basics, Independent Grocers, Metro and more will be closed on Monday, but some select locations will be open.<\/p>\n

Several Farm Boy locations across the city will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the holiday, including: <\/p>\n

Cornwall<\/p>\n

Tenth Line<\/p>\n

Trainyards<\/p>\n

Metcalfe<\/p>\n

Rideau<\/p>\n

Westboro<\/p>\n

Greenbank<\/p>\n

Kanata<\/p>\n

Nepean<\/p>\n

LCBO locations will be closed on Monday. Some Beer Store\u00a0locations<\/a>\u00a0will remain open.<\/p>\n

Shopping malls<\/p>\n

Tanger Outlet Mall is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Bayshore Shopping Centre is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

CF Rideau Centre is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Carlingwood Shopping Centre is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

St. Laurent Shopping Centre is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Place D\u2019Orl\u00e9ans is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Garbage, recycling and green bin<\/p>\n

There is no curbside collection on Monday, and the schedule will be pushed until Tuesday, May 19. <\/p>\n

Transit<\/p>\n

On Victoria Day people can take advantage of the 2-for-1 Day Pass<\/a> for those over the age of 13 to ride all day for $12.25.<\/p>\n

OC Transpo buses and O-Train Lines 1, 2 and 4 will run on a Sunday schedule<\/p>\n

O-Train Line 1 will run from 8 am to 11 pm. O-Train Line 2 and 4 will run from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30\u00a0p.m.<\/p>\n

Rural Shopper Route 301 will not run<\/p>\n

Regular Para Transpo trips on the 18 will be automatically cancelled<\/p>\n

The Rideau Centre OC Transpo Customer Service Centre will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the Monday.<\/p>\n

City services<\/p>\n

All Ottawa Public Libraries will be closed<\/p>\n

City-run child centres are closed<\/p>\n

Employment and social services are closed<\/p>\n

City-operated museums, Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe, and Shenkman Arts Centre will be closed<\/p>\n

Gallery 112 at the James Bartleman Centre<\/p>\n

The Barbara Ann Scott Gallery, the Karsh-Masson Gallery, and the City Hall Art Gallery will be closed<\/p>\n
