Victoria Day long weekend has arrived, and fireworks displays are lighting up parts of Toronto and the GTA once again.<\/p>\n
Victoria Day lands on the third Monday of May, and the Canadian federal holiday celebrates late Queen Victoria\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n
With the celebration, residents are able to check out firework displays across the Greater Toronto area (GTA).\u00a0<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s where you can find fireworks near you.<\/p>\n
Toronto<\/p>\n
Toronto\u2019s official display will take place at Ashbridges Bay Park where the city will have Victoria Day fireworks starting at 10 p.m. on Monday, May 22.<\/p>\n
The park near Lake Shore Boulevard East and Coxwell Avenue is accessible by TTC. Attendees have been asked to use public transit and leave vehicles at home.<\/p>\n
Organizers say the show will end with a large finale, so be sure to get to the park early to secure your spot.<\/p>\n
Vaughan<\/p>\n
Those in Vaughan have a couple of options when it comes to checking out fireworks over the long weekend.<\/p>\n
Vaughan Ribfest 2026<\/a> has taken over the entire long weekend, from Friday to Monday. Along with a selection of barbecue food, live music and family activities to check out, attendees can look forward to a firework display on Sunday at around 10 p.m.<\/p>\n If anyone will be checking out the rides at Canada\u2019s Wonderland<\/a> on Sunday instead, the park will host their own firework show near the front of Wonder Mountain. The show starts around 10 p.m. and will last about thirty minutes.<\/p>\n Mississauga<\/p>\n There are no official firework displays in the city for Victoria Day, but residents can still legally use fireworks on private property during the permitted holiday window.<\/p>\n When celebrating Victoria Day, remember to keep fire and fireworks safety in mind.<\/p>\n Fireworks are allowed at home on your private property on Monday, May 18 from 6 to 10 p.m. <\/p>\n Remember: \u2014 City of Mississauga (@citymississauga) May 4, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n Brampton<\/p>\n There will be no official firework displays in Brampton and the firework ban remains in effect during the long weekend.<\/p>\n The use, sale, and possession of fireworks could lead to fines from $500 to $1,000, even reaching up to $100,000 in some rare cases.<\/p>\n Handheld sparklers are permitted.<\/p>\n Milton<\/p>\n An LED light show followed be a firework display will conclude the final standardbred horse race at Woodbine Mohawk Park<\/a> during their Fireworks Family Night. Entry will be free and doors will open at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n Pickering<\/p>\n There are no official fireworks displays in Pickering for Victoria Day. Residents are allowed to<\/a> set off fireworks on their own private property between sunset and 11:00 p.m.<\/p>\n Markham<\/p>\n The City of Markham has no plans for official fireworks in the city. Residents looking to watch some are encouraged to go north to the Town of Stouffville<\/a>\u2018s annual Victoria Day Fireworks at Memorial Park.<\/p>\n
