Hockey may be Canada’s game, but it’s been some time since they’ve been crowned Stanley Cup champions.<\/p>\n
Once upon a time, the Stanley Cup practically lived in Canada. Now, a good portion of hockey fans haven’t seen a Canadian team lift the Stanley Cup in their lifetime.<\/p>\n
But, when was the last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup?\u00a0It was the\u00a0Montreal Canadiens<\/a>\u00a0who last held that honor over 30 years ago, as they bested the\u00a0Los Angeles Kings<\/a>\u00a0in five games in 1993 to hoist the Stanley Cup. Since then, only seven Canadian teams have made it to the Stanley Cup Final, including the 2024 and 2025\u00a0Edmonton Oilers<\/a>.<\/p>\n Will a Canadian team win the 2026 Stanley Cup Final and break the three-decade curse?
