{"id":5678,"date":"2026-04-15T03:45:35","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T03:45:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/5678\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T03:45:35","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T03:45:35","slug":"tens-of-thousands-in-stolen-lululemon-clothes-seized-during-rcmp-retail-blitz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/5678\/","title":{"rendered":"Tens of thousands in stolen Lululemon clothes seized during RCMP retail blitz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/alberta-rcmp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Alberta RCMP<\/a> recently dedicated a week-and-a-half to tackling <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/retail-crime\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">retail crime<\/a>, which police said has been increasing over the past five years in the province, and said officers recovered over $40,000 in stolen goods.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The retail crime blitz took place over 10 days last month, involving Mounties from Airdrie, Lloydminster, Parkland County, Red Deer, St. Albert, Strathcona County, Wetaskiwin and Fort McMurray.<\/p>\n<p>Tens of thousands of dollars of stolen merchandise was recovered both during that time period and afterwards, with the bulk of the items appearing to be Team Canada clothing and merchandise made by <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/tag\/lululemon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Lululemon.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Between March 10 and March 20, RCMP Staff Sgt. Luke Halvorson.<\/p>\n<p>Halvorson said while there has been an overall reduction in property crime in Alberta in recent years, retail remains the exception and stores are seeing an increase in robberies and thefts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Alberta RCMP uses data and intelligence to focus resources.
