{"id":57043,"date":"2026-05-23T01:05:05","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T01:05:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/57043\/"},"modified":"2026-05-23T01:05:05","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T01:05:05","slug":"kane-county-cougars-bus-destroyed-by-arson-girl-15-charged-nbc-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/57043\/","title":{"rendered":"Kane County Cougars\u2019 bus destroyed by arson; girl, 15, charged \u2013 NBC Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 15-year-old girl is facing arson charges after the Kane County Cougars&#8217; team bus was destroyed in a fiery blaze early Thursday morning while parked at a stadium in Canada, authorities said. <\/p>\n<p>Around 1:50 a.m., patrol officers from multiple Canadian police districts responded to Goldeyes Stadium, located at 1 Portage Ave. in Winnipeg, and found the Kane County Cougars&#8217; bus &#8220;fully engulfed in flames,&#8221; Winnipeg police said.<\/p>\n<p>A charter bus rented by the team was parked at the lot while on a road trip, police said. The entire bus and contents were destroyed in the fire. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/0_00-CHI-Kane-County-Cougars-burned-bus-photo-with-courtesy.mp4-1.png\" loading=\"lazy\"   alt=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>A bystander who was in the area saw someone inside the bus and helped with removing him, police said.
