The 24-karat magic isn\u2019t in the air for Bruno Mars and his fans tonight. The \u201cUptown Funk\u201d singer won\u2019t be performing in Toronto on Saturday night, with his show being rescheduled to next weekend.<\/p>\n
On social media after 1:30 p.m. ET, Rogers Stadium announced the star\u2019s May 23 performance in Toronto would be cancelled and moved to May 31. The venue stated \u201cinclement weather\u201d as the cause, saying \u201cthe safety of our guests, artists, crew and staff remains our top priority.\u201d<\/p>\n
It was the first show the American singer \u2014 who\u2019s known for hits like \u201cJust the Way You Are,\u201d \u201cLocked Out of Heaven\u201d and \u201cGrenade\u201d \u2014 was set to perform in Toronto. The 40-year-old artist is scheduled to perform on May 24, 27, 28 and 30. His only other Canadian dates on The Romantic Tour are set for Vancouver in October.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll previously purchased tickets will be honoured for the new date,\u201d Rogers Stadium wrote online.<\/p>\n
On Instagram and X, people who said they were attending the show were unhappy with the short notice, as the concert was set to begin at 5 p.m. E.T. Some fans noted they drove hours from cities like Montreal, while others shared they flew in for a short trip from provinces in Western Canada and Atlantic Canada.<\/p>\n
