George Springer looks to be set to do a little bit of packing \u2014 and we\u2019re not just talking about going on a trip with the Jays.<\/p>\n

The four-time all-star \u2014 whose massive six-year, $150-million contract ends after this season \u2014 reportedly has sold his midtown Toronto mansion for $6 million after more than a month on the market.<\/p>\n

The property had been on the market since late April<\/a> and had been listed at $6.445 million \u2014 almost half a million higher than what it finally brought in, according to real-estate site HouseSigma<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Springer reportedly bought the Lawrence Park South area home in January 2022<\/a>, a year after signing with the Jays.<\/p>\n

Mansion Global reported<\/a> that Springer and his wife, Charlise, paid $6.43 million for the 5,300-square-foot, stone Georgian colonial-style house at the time.<\/p>\n

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom house was built in 2005 and was \u201ccomprehensively renovated\u201d in 2019, according to brokerage SAGE Real Estate.<\/p>\n

It previously had been sold for $4.48 million in 2018.<\/p>\n

What are some key features?<\/p>\n

The redesign took the classic interiors and added \u201ccontemporary twists\u201d by using bold marble and other stone accents in the kitchen and bathrooms.<\/p>\n

According to the listing on Realtor.ca, the primary bedroom \u2013 which occupies its own wing \u2013 \u201cmakes a statement\u201d with vaulted 12-foot ceilings, a peaceful reading corner, fully renovated ensuite bathroom and a custom dressing room.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe often hear \u2018bedroom retreat,\u2019 but this one actually delivers,\u201d real-estate broker Jason Fata said, per Mansion Global.<\/p>\n

The secondary bedrooms also include a nursery and a children\u2019s room with custom built-ins.<\/p>\n

The house also features a finished lower level, which currently is set up as a playroom but could be converted to a home gym, according to the listing.<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, Springer declined to comment on the listing.<\/p>\n

Springer also reportedly owns a seven-bedroom, 7.5-bath estate in Florida. Realtor.com reported in 2024<\/a> that Springer bought the 7,309-square-foot waterfront house in Stuart, Fla., for $9.5 million.<\/p>\n

How is Springer\u2019s season going?<\/p>\n

Springer\u2019s 2026 season has been a struggle. Through 38 games, the DH has posted a slash line of .211\/.288\/.367<\/a> while hitting five home runs to go with 14 RBIs.<\/p>\n

He also missed two weeks of action after suffering a broken toe in April.<\/p>\n

During his six seasons in Toronto, Springer has a batting average of .261 with 121 home runs in 664 games. He played the hero during Game 7 of last year\u2019s ALCS against the Seattle Mariners, hitting a clutch home run to help the team advance to the World Series.<\/p>\n

The Blue Jays currently are in Baltimore to take on the Orioles in the midst of a seven-game trip. Toronto took the first game of their four-game series with their AL East rival on Thursday night and will look to add to their three-game winning streak on Friday.<\/p>\n
