As their first anniversary approaches, Katy Perry<\/a> and Justin Trudeau<\/a> are already looking to the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cJustin is showing Katy his new home, where he wants her to live part of the year with him,\u201d a source exclusively tells Us Weekly.<\/p>\n

The Gazette<\/a> reported in February that Trudeau, 54, bought a two-story, nearly 5,000-square foot house in Montreal\u2019s affluent Outremont borough for $3.1 million. The insider points out that it is located \u201cjust blocks away\u201d from the home that the former Canadian prime minister shared with his now-estranged wife, Sophie Gr\u00e9goire Trudeau, and their three children: sons Xavier, 18, and Hadrien, 12, and daughter Ella-Grace, 17. (The former couple separated in 2023<\/a> after 18 years of marriage. Their divorce is ongoing.)<\/p>\n

A sales deed obtained by the local newspaper listed Trudeau as the sole buyer of his new seven-bedroom, five-bathroom abode, but there is plenty of space for California girl Perry, 41, and her 5-year-old daughter, Daisy, whom the pop star shares with her ex-fianc\u00e9 Orlando Bloom.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKaty Perry has sparked fireworks with Justin Trudeau. The \u201cRoar\u201d singer and the former Canadian prime minister were first spotted out to dinner together in Montreal, Canada, in July 2025, just days before Trudeau attended Perry\u2019s Lifetimes Tour stop in the city. A source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that their outing was [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s large enough for a blended family,\u201d the source notes, \u201cand in a prestigious neighborhood where he used to live.\u201d<\/p>\n

A second insider tells Us that Perry\u2019s \u201chome base\u201d is still Montecito, California, where she and Bloom, 49, own a $15 million mansion<\/a>. (The exes reportedly began renting out the property after splitting last year<\/a>.) Daisy also goes to school in the ritzy Santa Barbara town.<\/p>\n

\u201cOrlando and Katy have a good rhythm with coparenting, so that\u2019s where Katy spends the majority of her time unless she is traveling on tour,\u201d the second source adds.<\/p>\n

For the time being, Perry and Trudeau are \u201cstill navigating a long-distance relationship,\u201d according to the second insider, but it \u201chasn\u2019t been an issue\u201d for either of them: \u201cThey\u2019ve found a rhythm that works and make a point to see each other as often as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The unlikely couple went public with their romance<\/a> in July 2025 before Perry made it Instagram official<\/a> that December. Since then, the \u201cFirework\u201d singer has continued to share glimpses of her life with Trudeau<\/a> via social media in addition to making public appearances with the politician, including a recent outing in Montreal.<\/p>\n

While Trudeau\u2019s beloved team has since been eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the insider quips, \u201cIf Justin is Katy\u2019s \u2018love of her life,\u2019 then she must also love hockey, and especially the Habs.\u201d<\/p>\n
