Photo by Daniel Tastard-Homer\/Kingstonist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CAA has released its 2026 round-up of the worst roads in Ontario, and Kingston has the displeasure of having two streets listed in the Ontario Regional Eastern Top 5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luckily, Kingston stayed out of the overall top 10 list for all of Ontario, but both Queen Street and Princess Street landed in spots 4 and 5, respectively, on the Eastern area of Ontario list, which includes \u201cPeterborough County, Prince Edward County, Stormont, Dundas County and more,\u201d according to the CAA website.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"205502\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Barrie-and-Queen-Phillip-Aug-2025.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-205502 lazyload\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>Aug 2025.<img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"118290\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/286052636_1097997490785697_1669374892069843316_n-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-118290 lazyload\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>June 2022.<img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"117457\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Queen-Street-May-2022-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-117457 lazyload\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>May 2022.<img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"120853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Queen-St-Jun-2022-CV-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-120853 lazyload\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>June 2022.<img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"92163\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/QueenAtSydenham-PC1_edited.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-92163 lazyload\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>June 2021.A collection of Kingstonist file photos showing Queen Street and its various issues amid seemingly ever ongoing construction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Levesque Road in South Frontenac Township tops the Eastern top 5 list, with County Road 49 in Prince Edward County second, and Glen Road in Belleville taking the third and final spot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe CAA Worst Roads campaign gives Ontarians a voice and helps shine a light on the roads that need attention most,\u201d said Brian Pirvu, government relations consultant for CAA South Central Ontario.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen people speak up, it helps drive action and ensures governments understand where investments are needed to keep communities safe and moving.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CAA\u2019s annual Worst Roads campaign has influenced change, according to the organization\u2019s website, resulting in repaving and repair work done to many of the roads that have appeared on Ontario\u2019s Worst Roads list.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cReliable infrastructure isn\u2019t just about convenience; it\u2019s about safety, affordability and quality of life,\u201d Pirvu added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cInvesting in roads helps reduce repair costs for drivers and ensures people can get where they need to go safely.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nonetheless, Queen Street in Kingston has repeatedly made the list, including last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingstonist.com\/news\/kingston-continues-to-hold-a-top-10-spot-in-caas-worst-roads-in-ontario\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">in 2022<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingstonist.com\/news\/kingston-lands-in-caas-top-10-worst-roads-for-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">in 2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visit the CAA website to see the full collection of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/caaworstroads.com\/clubs\/ontario\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2026 Worst Roads in Ontario<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Traffic on Princess Street in downtown Kingston in June 2026.
