Hosted by Trans Canada Trail<\/a>, the\u00a0Summit takes place June 16 to 19, 2026, at the Delta Hotel in downtown Winnipeg. Under the theme \u201cTrails for a Changing World,\u201d the event will bring together trail managers, advocates, researchers, policymakers, community leaders and volunteers to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships and explore practical solutions for building more resilient, inclusive and sustainable trail systems.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cCanada\u2019s trails are essential community infrastructure. More than 75\u00a0presenters\u00a0from across Canada<\/a> will lead keynote presentations, breakout sessions, panels and workshops focused on the issues and opportunities shaping the future of trails.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Summit program is organized around three streams: innovating trail management, strengthening the trail\u00a0sector\u00a0and fostering healthy communities.\u00a0Sessions will explore topics including climate resilience, accessibility, trail tourism, digital innovation, stewardship, visitor use management, community engagement and inclusive planning.\u00a0<\/p>\n The keynote lineup\u00a0includes:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Lisa Franks, a six-time Paralympic gold\u00a0medallist, mechanical\u00a0engineer\u00a0and accessibility advocate.\u00a0 Dr. Melissa Lem, a Vancouver family physician, Co-Founder of\u00a0PaRx, Canada\u2019s national nature prescription program, and a leading voice on the links between nature,\u00a0health\u00a0and well-being.\u00a0 Ryan Shackleton, Chief Executive Officer of Know History,\u00a0the\u00a0largest historical\u00a0research\u00a0and\u00a0storytelling firm in North America.\u00a0 <\/p>\n In addition to keynotes and breakout sessions, the Summit will showcase Winnipeg\u2019s trail networks, outdoor spaces and cultural destinations.
