Baltimore hardcore band End It didn\u2019t take kindly to a concertgoer dressed as a banana at their show in Toronto, ON last night, June 05th. The band hit the stage as part of a show with Terror, Pain Of Truth and Start Today, and eventually singled out the peculiarly dressed audience member. To that end, End It vocalist Akil Godsey put a bounty on the banana-attired individual, telling the crowd that the person to tear the banana costume to shreds would be rewarded with End It\u2018s setlist from the show.<\/p>\n

Godsey stated: \u201cWe\u2019re just gonna address, it, do you want to this now, or later?\u2026 Banana man, what the f*ck is you doing my n*gga?\u201d When some of the crowd cheered upon mention of the fan\u2019s outfit, Godsey said, \u201cNo, no, no, no, no, you don\u2019t get rewarded for doing that sh*t. He wanted the attention, and now he has it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s bassist went on to remark, \u201cAnd now, everyone here has to kill you.\u201d Godsey then offered, \u201cAnd now, if you strip the banana, you get this lovely setlist. I\u2019m just saying, he was asking for attention, now you got it.\u201d<\/p>\n

As you\u2019d expect, those in close proximity to banana man in the front row reacted violently and soon began clawing at the outfit, quickly destroying it in the resulting melee. Around 1:30 into the below video of the incident, the headpiece of the costume can be seen thrown around above the crowd. Another member of the audience in the pit can later be seen clutching a shred of the banana costume in question.<\/p>\n

The so-called banana man appears to have had a history of attending shows in banana attire<\/a> and commented on his Instagram last night, \u201cRip suit 3.\u201d He further went on to express his displeasure for last night\u2019s events via his Instagram story:<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople have been trying to dim my sparkle my entire life. It sucks, but I\u2019m used to it. I\u2019ve surfered hundreds of people in this suit, all genders, all ages, safely. Especially, a lot of first timers that felt safe to approach me for their first surf.<\/p>\n

@enditbaltmore two of your band members crossed the line\u2026and I\u2019m obligated to speak on it.<\/p>\n

F*ck the police? While, policing what people wear? Take off, hoser.<\/p>\n

The message last night; Conform or get called out, exactly the opposite of what Hardcore is supposed to be.<\/p>\n

I was an unwilling participant, attacked and clothing removed at the direction of a band I paid to see\u2026 What would you do?\u201d<\/p>\n
