Polls have opened in Jersey’s 2026 general election, with voting now underway at polling stations across the island.<\/p>\n
Registered voters are able to cast their ballots between 08:00 and 20:00 BST on Sunday 7 June.<\/p>\n
Counting is expected to begin as soon as polls close and the results are due to be announced overnight.<\/p>\n
Voters are electing a total of 49 States Members: 28 deputies, 12 constables and nine senators.<\/p>\n
This is what you need to know about the way Jersey elections work<\/a><\/p>\n Where do I vote?<\/p>\n Voters are asked to attend different polling stations, depending on where they live.<\/p>\n St Helier South: Town Hall<\/p>\n St Helier Central: Springfield Stadium, Rouge Bouillon School<\/p>\n St Helier North: D’Auvergne School, First Tower School<\/p>\n To find out which St Helier polling station you must attend, refer to the constituency map and street list here.<\/a><\/p>\n St Saviour: Parish Hall, Georgetown Methodist Church Hall, Maufant Youth Centre<\/p>\n To find out which St Saviour polling station you must attend, there are more details here<\/a> and a constituency map is available here.<\/a><\/p>\n St Brelade: Parish Hall, Communicare<\/p>\n To find out which St Brelade polling station you must attend, there are more details here.<\/a><\/p>\n St Mary: Youth and Community Centre<\/p>\n Do I need to take ID with me to vote?<\/p>\n Ideally, yes.<\/p>\n The States Greffe advises voters to take a passport or driving licence, to ensure they can receive their ballot papers quickly.<\/p>\n If this is not possible, it says that voters can show an alternative form of ID, including a work ID, a phone that allows them to login to Yoti\/Jersey Me, or a utility bill dated within the last three months.<\/p>\n If voters arrive without any ID, officials will seek to verify their identity using parish records, although this may take some time.<\/p>\n Are there any other ways of voting?<\/p>\n Registered voters who are sick, incapacitated or have challenges with literacy can request a home visit on election day.<\/p>\n It is necessary to contact your parish hall to arrange this.
