After an extremely busy Sunday finished up at the Memorial Tournament last week at Muirfield Village Golf Club, the PGA TOUR is headed north of the border for its annual stop at the RBC Canadian Open. Like many national opens, the Canadian Open uses a course rotation, but this year will be the second straight year at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley\u2019s North Course.<\/p>\n

While the event is not a major championship or a Signature Event, it draws a strong field and is used by many top pros as a tune-up for the U.S. Open next week. The Canadian Open always brings great crowd support and has featured a scorable, par-3 at \u201cThe Rink,\u201d which gives fans a chance to get into the action at the par-3 14th, which will play somewhere around 125 yards each day.<\/p>\n

The par-70 plays around 7,400 yards, offering a great blend of short scoring holes and long grind-it-out par-4s. It\u2019s a fun setup that resulted in a playoff last year between Ryan Fox and Sam Burns. Fox won on the fourth playoff hole after scoring a -18 cumulative score over the four rounds. Both Fox and Burns are back in the field this week.<\/p>\n

The purse for this week\u2019s event is $9.8 million, with the winner lined up to claim $1.764 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n
