The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have ruled out Wynton McManis for their Week 2 game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The team issued an updated injury report on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old did not practice this week due to the same knee injury that held him out against the Montreal Alouettes in Week 1. Head coach Scott Milanovich has previously indicated the injury is a bone bruise<\/a> and is \u201ccertainly not gonna be long term.\u201d<\/p>\n

The six-foot, 220-pound defender signed with the Tiger-Cats in free agency in February. In 2025, he made 62 defensive tackles, four sacks, two interceptions, and one forced fumble over 13 regular-season games with the rival Toronto Argonauts.<\/p>\n

The two-time All-CFL selection and three-time Grey Cup champion has played 100 regular-season CFL games over seven seasons with the Calgary Stampeders and Argonauts, making 390 defensive tackles, 52 special teams tackles, 16 sacks, nine interceptions, four forced fumbles, and three touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Ryan Baker, a former fifth-round draft pick of the University of British Columbia, started in place of McManis at middle linebacker last week and recorded one defensive tackle.<\/p>\n

Braxton Hill, who missed Week 1 due to a calf injury, is listed as available this week. Chris Kolankowski, the team\u2019s starting centre, is also listed as available after being a limited participant in practice all week with a groin injury.<\/p>\n

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (0-1) will visit the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (1-0) at Princess Auto Stadium on Thursday, June 11, with kickoff scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EDT. The Tiger-Cats are coming off an overtime loss to the Montreal Alouettes, while the Blue Bombers got a walk-off game-winning field goal from Sergio Castillo to beat the Calgary Stampeders.<\/p>\n

The weather forecast in Winnipeg calls for a high of 21 degrees and a 30 percent chance of rain. The game will be broadcast on TSN and RDS2 in Canada, CBS Sports Network in the United States, and CFL+ internationally. Radio listeners can tune in to the Ticats Audio Network in Hamilton and 680 CJOB in Winnipeg.<\/p>\n
