Canada continues to provide support to Ukraine despite Russian threats \u2013 this position was stated by Canada\u2019s Defence Minister David McGuinty, commenting on a statement by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which condemned the recent agreements to manufacture drones on Canadian soil for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.<\/p>\n
According to the defence chief, the country firmly supports Ukraine and will continue to do so together with NATO allies, strengthening the Alliance and standing united against threats.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe strongly support our Ukrainian colleagues\u2026 And we will continue to do so together with our NATO allies, strengthening the Alliance and uniting\u2026 We expected that the Russians would criticize this, because they do not like NATO\u2019s camaraderie in helping a country that needs it.\u201d<\/p>\n
