{"id":85975,"date":"2026-06-12T20:42:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T20:42:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/85975\/"},"modified":"2026-06-12T20:42:07","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T20:42:07","slug":"toronto-police-arrest-7-more-suspects-in-fatal-shooting-of-man-in-etobicoke","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/85975\/","title":{"rendered":"Toronto police arrest 7 more suspects in fatal shooting of man in Etobicoke"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Toronto police say they have arrested seven more suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in an Etobicoke apartment more than a week ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In a news release Friday, police said the seven were wanted in connection to the death of Anthony Taylor, 28.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Taylor suffered a single gunshot wound in a Toronto Community Housing building near Queen&#8217;s Plate Drive and Rexdale Boulevard on May 31 at about 8 p.m. He died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police arrested and charged a 30-year-old with second-degree murder shortly after Taylor&#8217;s death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">All seven male suspects have been charged with second-degree murder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Two have also been charged with possession of a firearm without holding a licence and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police said the additional seven were arrested &#8220;through further investigation&#8221; and after police released their names, descriptions and photos, and issued Canada-wide warrants for their arrests this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Six of the men are from Toronto, and one is from Mississauga. Four are 23 years old, one is 24, one is 30 and one is 35.
