As expected, grabbing a cold one at Toronto Stadium won’t come cheap.<\/p>\n

A 473 mL domestic beer, Budweiser or Bud Light, will set fans back $16.75. If you’d prefer a “premium” option such as Michelob Ultra or Modelo, expect to pay more than $18.<\/p>\n

For supporters looking to spend less time in concession lines and more time watching the action, 740 mL king cans are also available for $24.25.<\/p>\n

If beer isn’t your drink of choice, be prepared to pay even more. Wine and specialty cocktails are priced at more than $25 each.<\/p>\n

If fans are wanting a non-alcoholic option, concessions will sell water, soft drinks and Powerade, between $7 and $10.<\/p>\n

While those prices may be steep compared to catching the game at a local pub with some friends,\u00a0they’re only slightly higher than what fans would pay at other Toronto sporting events.<\/p>\n

Alcohol sales have returned to FIFA World Cup stadiums after being absent four years ago\u00a0in Qatar<\/a>, where restrictions were implemented in accordance with local laws and customs.<\/p>\n

Of course, for many fans, the price of a beer may be the least expensive part of attending the tournament.<\/p>\n

Tickets for Canada’s opening match against Bosnia and Herzegovina were selling for well over $1,000<\/a>, with some resale prices climbing above $2,000 in the hours leading up to kickoff.<\/p>\n
