A CTV News investigation (1) has uncovered a luggage tag-switching scheme involving flights departing from Canadian airports. The investigation alleges that criminals are switching innocent travellers\u2019 baggage tags onto checked bags carrying contraband. In some cases, the bags are headed for countries where drug smuggling carries the death penalty. Most Canadian travellers haven\u2019t considered the risk, but they really should.<\/p>\n
