On Sunday in Ottawa, now 34, he repeated that feat for the 13th time, running in 20.33 seconds to win the men\u2019s 200m title on the final day of the 2026 Canadian Track &amp; Field Championships.<\/p>\n<p>The Father\u2019s Day victory carried extra meaning for Brown, who called it special to celebrate the win with family, including his wife, their two children and his parents.<\/p>\n<p>The gold marked Brown\u2019s second medal of the weekend after he took silver behind <a href=\"https:\/\/runningmagazine.ca\/sections\/runs-races\/andre-de-grasse-clocks-his-fastest-marks-in-years-in-botswana\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Andre De Grasse<\/a> in Friday\u2019s 100m final. \u201cRunning in front of the Canadian fans never gets old,\u201d he told Canadian Running.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-166018 size-large lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/canada\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/SB20260621ACBellTrials2040-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Aaron Brown\" width=\"788\" height=\"525\"  data- style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 788px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 788\/525;\"\/>Aaron Brown holds off Eliezer Adjibi to win the 200m at the Athletics Canada 2026 Bell Trials Canadian Track and Field Championships. Photo: Sean Burges\/Mundo Sport Images<\/p>\n<p>Eliezer Adjibi improved on last year\u2019s bronze to claim silver in 20.37, also securing his second medal of the weekend (he took bronze in the 100m). <a href=\"https:\/\/runningmagazine.ca\/sections\/runs-races\/canada-captures-five-qualifying-spots-for-2027-world-championships\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brendon Rodney<\/a>\u00a0rounded out the podium in 20.60.<\/p>\n<p>13 golds over 8 national championships<\/p>\n<p>Brown claimed his first Canadian crown in the 100m at the 2013 championships in Moncton, N.B., where he ran 10.25.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat one was special because it was my first\u2013and you never forget your first,\u201d he said. \u201cI was like a little kid in a candy store when I won that one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued to dominate on the national stage, sweeping the 100m and 200m titles in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022. Now, Brown finds himself cherishing each championship a little more. \u201cIt\u2019s almost like you\u2019re savouring it a bit more because, when you\u2019re 34, you don\u2019t know how many more you\u2019re going to have,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Brown is slated to represent Team Canada at next month\u2019s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. \u201cI feel like I\u2019m ready to do something special, if I can just execute the way I need to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leduc extends undefeated streak<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s 200m final, Gatineau, Que.\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/runningmagazine.ca\/the-scene\/audrey-leduc-breaks-canadian-100m-record-again\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Audrey Leduc<\/a>\u00a0pulled off the sprint double for the third straight year, cruising smoothly to the win in a championship record of 22.38 seconds.
