Une photo prise par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/super-terre-telescope-james-webb-franchit-etape-folle-lire-surface-super-terre-proche-nous-134270\/\" title=\"Le t\u00e9lescope James-Webb franchit une \u00e9tape folle : lire la surface d\u2019une super-Terre proche de nous\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">le t\u00e9lescope James Webb<\/a> o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on distingue une lumi\u00e8re centrale tr\u00e8s vive \u00e9voquant un Soleil avec, tout autour, une vaste spirale qui semble \u00eatre faite de poussi\u00e8re tourbillonnante.<\/p>\n<p>En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une galaxie nomm\u00e9e <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/breves\/galaxie-champs-magnetiques-faconnent-galaxies-spirales-comme-voie-lactee-1671\/\" title=\"Les champs magn\u00e9tiques fa\u00e7onnent les galaxies spirales comme la Voie lact\u00e9e\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Messier 77<\/a>\u00a0situ\u00e9e \u00e0 environ 45 millions d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re de notre Voie Lact\u00e9e, quelque part dans la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/astronomie-constellation-baleine-5369\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">constellation de la Baleine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>C&rsquo;est la photo choisie par la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-nasa-2468\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nasa<\/a> et l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-esa-2466\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ESA<\/a> comme <a href=\"https:\/\/esawebb.org\/images\/potm\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">image du mois<\/a> pour ce mois de mai.<\/p>\n<p>Un centre ultra-brillant<\/p>\n<p>Le centre de cette <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-galaxie-spirale-42\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">galaxie spirale<\/a> est tellement brillant, avec un noyau compos\u00e9 de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/physique-gaz-15336\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">gaz<\/a> chauff\u00e9 \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures impressionnantes, qu&rsquo;il rend ce qu&rsquo;il y a autour quasiment invisible.<\/p>\n<p>Au milieu, le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/quasars-trous-noirs-supermassifs-secrets-leur-croissance-ultrarapide-enfin-perces-67319\/\" title=\"Trous noirs supermassifs : les secrets de leur croissance ultrarapide enfin perc\u00e9s ?\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">trou noir supermassif<\/a> est aussi massif que huit millions de Soleil, et c&rsquo;est autour de lui que le gaz <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/univers-orbite-873\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">orbite<\/a> \u00e0 une <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/physique-vitesse-324\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">vitesse<\/a> proche de celle de la lumi\u00e8re, ce qui \u00e9met aussi d&rsquo;importantes radiations. Ces <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/planete\/definitions\/zoologie-aigrette-2172\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">aigrettes<\/a> s&rsquo;expliquent par la lumi\u00e8re intense \u00e9mise par la galaxie et vue sur les bords des <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/physique-miroir-1009\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">miroirs<\/a> hexagonaux du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/telescope-spatial-james-webb-telescope-spatial-james-webb-2583\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JWST<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>La \u00ab galaxie pieuvre \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>On distingue \u00e9galement les bras de la galaxie, qui peuvent \u00e9voquer des tentacules, et qui sont form\u00e9s de gaz d&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/definitions\/chimie-hydrogene-14495\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hydrog\u00e8ne<\/a> r\u00e9parti sur des dizaines de milliers d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es lumi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>Messier 77 est particuli\u00e8rement int\u00e9ressante \u00e0 \u00e9tudier, car elle est assez facilement visible depuis la Terre. Mais aussi parce qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une galaxie tr\u00e8s active o\u00f9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.futura-sciences.com\/sciences\/actualites\/etoile-molecules-organiques-complexes-forment-nuages-precurseurs-etoiles-103331\/\" title=\"Des mol\u00e9cules organiques complexes se forment dans les nuages pr\u00e9curseurs d&#039;\u00e9toiles\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">de nombreuses \u00e9toiles naissent<\/a>, beaucoup plus que dans la Voie Lact\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p class=\"fs-media\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-imgid=\"full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch-fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/A_beacon_of_light_in_swirls_of_dust.jpg\" width=\"1060\" height=\"1288\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><br \/>\n\u00a9 Nasa, ESA<\/p>\n<p>Les donn\u00e9es ici sont si fines que l&rsquo;on peut distinguer les <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.futura-sciences.com\/feldmann\/2019\/01\/15\/zoom-sur-le-double-amas-detoiles-ngc-1850\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">amas\u00a0d&rsquo;\u00e9toiles<\/a> et les r\u00e9servoirs de gaz, qui sont les zones les plus dynamiques \u00e0 travers cette galaxie.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;anneau de la galaxie, en son centre, est donc id\u00e9alement situ\u00e9 pour \u00eatre examin\u00e9 sous toutes ses coutures par plusieurs t\u00e9lescopes, dont James-Webb, dernier en date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\u00c0 premi\u00e8re vue, l&rsquo;image rel\u00e8ve presque de la science-fiction.
