R\u00e9cemment, \u00e0 l\u2019occasion du quatri\u00e8me anniversaire des premi\u00e8res observations du t\u00e9lescope, une image saisissante de la fusion entre deux galaxies a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9voil\u00e9e. &#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Baptis\u00e9e Centaurus A, cette galaxie est situ\u00e9e \u00e0 environ 11 millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es-lumi\u00e8re de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.notebookcheck.biz\/Cette-exoplanete-situee-a-environ-25-annees-lumiere-de-la-Terre-pourrait-etre-habitable.1338291.0.html\" target=\"_self\" class=\"internal-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Terre<\/a>. R\u00e9put\u00e9e pour sa forme inhabituelle, elle se serait form\u00e9e \u00e0 la suite de la fusion de deux galaxies il y a environ 2 milliards d\u2019ann\u00e9es. &#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Au cours de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, d\u2019\u00e9normes quantit\u00e9s de gaz et de poussi\u00e8re ont \u00e9t\u00e9 lib\u00e9r\u00e9es, entra\u00eenant la formation de nombreuses \u00e9toiles. Mais ce n\u2019est pas tout, car cette fusion a \u00e9galement permis \u00e0 son trou noir supermassif de grandir et d\u2019\u00e9jecter de puissants jets de plasma \u00e0 des vitesses tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9es. <\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Mais si ce t\u00e9lescope a permis aux astronomes de mieux comprendre cette galaxie, notamment gr\u00e2ce au MIRI (instrument d\u2019infrarouge moyen) et \u00e0 la NIRCam (cam\u00e9ra d\u2019infrarouge proche), certains myst\u00e8res subsistent. En effet, plusieurs structures entourant cet objet c\u00e9leste sont encore mal comprises, comme la structure en forme de S situ\u00e9e en son centre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Toutefois, cette image met en \u00e9vidence la capacit\u00e9 du t\u00e9lescope spatial James Webb \u00e0 explorer des zones jusqu\u2019alors inimaginables.
