R\u00e9cemment, des scientifiques ont publi\u00e9 une \u00e9tude mettant en \u00e9vidence le syst\u00e8me stellaire quadruple le plus compact jamais d\u00e9couvert. &#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">TIC 120362137 est un syst\u00e8me compos\u00e9 de trois \u00e9toiles extr\u00eamement proches et d&rsquo;une quatri\u00e8me situ\u00e9e un peu plus loin. Si l&rsquo;on repr\u00e9sente la taille de ce syst\u00e8me par rapport au syst\u00e8me solaire, elle ne d\u00e9passerait pas l&rsquo;orbite de Jupiter. En d&rsquo;autres termes, ces quatre \u00e9toiles se trouvent dans un rayon d&rsquo;environ 770 millions de kilom\u00e8tres.&#13;<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">Cependant, sa d\u00e9couverte est assez particuli\u00e8re, car selon les premi\u00e8res observations r\u00e9alis\u00e9es avec le t\u00e9lescope spatial TESS, il n&rsquo;y avait rien d&rsquo;anormal. En effet, seules deux \u00e9toiles orbitant en seulement 3,3 jours ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rep\u00e9r\u00e9es. La troisi\u00e8me a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverte gr\u00e2ce aux variations de luminosit\u00e9 qui se produisent tous les 25 jours.
