Celle-ci consiste \u00e0 simuler virtuellement la croissance des feuilles \u00e0 partir de donn\u00e9es r\u00e9elles, ce qui permet de tester des hypoth\u00e8ses et de pr\u00e9dire des comportements cellulaires avant m\u00eame de les reproduire en laboratoire, comme une maquette num\u00e9rique du vivant.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ces travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s en \u00e9troite collaboration avec Yoan Coudert, de l&rsquo;\u00c9cole normale sup\u00e9rieure de Lyon (France), pour la composante g\u00e9n\u00e9tique, et Richard Smith, du John Innes Centre (Royaume-Uni), pour la mod\u00e9lisation informatique. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>La structure en une seule couche de cellules des feuilles de mousse offre en effet une occasion unique de quantifier le d\u00e9veloppement de l&rsquo;organe entier \u00e0 partir d\u2019une seule cellule fondatrice, une solution difficilement atteignable chez les plantes \u00e0 fleurs.
