GENEVA, Ala. (WTVY) -Police are searching a suspected shooter in Geneva following a shooting late Monday afternoon. The shooting happened just east of town at or near the Regency Inn along Alabama Highway 52.
A medical helicopter was seen taking off from the scene, witnesses reported.
Geneva Police Chief Pepper Mock confirmed the incident and said he would provide details later Monday, with officers in the early stages of the investigation.
“We are working information to locate the suspect,” he told WTVY News4.
Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms confirmed his officers are assisting in the shooting’s aftermath.
Several law enforcement vehicles secured the scene, photos revealed.
