Gunshots were fired at a shopping center Wednesday afternoon in east Raleigh.
The incident happened shortly after noon at New Bern Plaza along New Bern Avenue.
Police said someone shot into a Wingstop restaurant. No one was hurt, despite several employees being inside the business at the time.
At least a dozen Raleigh police vehicles were there. The shopping center was evacuated.
There is no word on an arrest. Witnesses told WRAL that about 10 shots were heard.
In 2024, a fight led to a stabbing at Walmart in the same shopping center.
