Hotel Böglerhof, the five-star pure nature spa resort in the Austrian village of Alpbach, has announced the dates for its first Spring/Summer ‘rejuvenation’ iteration of Finding Space – its acclaimed alpine wellbeing programme.
Running on select dates from 7 April to 25 July 2026, this spring/summer edition joins the successful autumn/winter ‘reflection’ programme that debuted in September 2025.
Developed in collaboration with respected wellness specialist Suzanne Duckett, the four night experience is less about rigid transformation and more about rediscovering personal equilibrium through nature, movement and rest.
Rather than presenting wellness as a checklist, the philosophy here centres on creating moments of pause. Guests are encouraged to step away from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with their own rhythms, supported by carefully curated experiences that feel both restorative and quietly indulgent.
A Space to Move and Breathe
Movement forms a gentle foundation throughout the stay. Mornings might begin with yoga in a light filled studio framed by alpine views, followed by guided meditation designed to calm the nervous system and sharpen mental clarity. The pace never feels demanding. Instead, it is intentionally spacious, allowing participants to listen to their bodies rather than push against them.
Time outdoors plays an equally important role. Forest bathing sessions and guided walks through the valley invite guests to slow down and notice the landscape in a more mindful way. Seasonal variations subtly shape the programme, with spring and summer activities focusing on renewal and energy, in contrast to the grounding emphasis of the colder months.
A Space to Relax and Restore
The hotel’s spa, widely regarded as one of the most sophisticated in the region, becomes a sanctuary for deeper restoration. Traditional Tyrolean sauna culture is introduced with sensitivity, allowing newcomers to engage comfortably while still honouring authentic rituals.
Experiences range from the theatrical Aufguss sauna, where aromatic steam is circulated in rhythmic waves, to gentler heat environments such as the bio sauna and infrared cabin. Cooling rituals between sessions, whether through a cold plunge or immersion in the natural reed pond, create a sensory contrast that feels invigorating rather than extreme. The panoramic outdoor pool, overlooking the mountains, offers a slower moment of reflection between treatments.
Playful Yet Practical: Understanding Sauna Culture
For many British travellers, sauna traditions can feel unfamiliar territory. The programme addresses this with a light touch, introducing etiquette and cultural context in an approachable way that removes any sense of uncertainty. Thoughtful details, including modesty friendly garments and guidance materials, ensure guests can participate with confidence.
Therapeutic treatments deepen the restorative experience. Holistic pulsing and cranio sacral therapy focus on releasing tension within the nervous system, while extended body, face and head massages create a profoundly grounding sensory reset. Scheduling is carefully managed by dedicated therapists so the flow of each day remains seamless.
A Space to Nourish and Replenish
Food is approached with the same mindful philosophy. Mealtimes follow a gentle intermittent rhythm, allowing digestion to rest while still providing abundant nourishment. Late breakfasts and early evening dinners showcase regional produce prepared with both nutritional intelligence and culinary flair.
Dishes might include alpine char finished in brown butter, herb infused millet patties with curd, or slow cooked lentils enriched with balsamic depth. Even desserts maintain balance, offering indulgence without heaviness. Guests are never made to feel restricted, only supported.
A Space to Sleep and Soothe
Accommodation completes the sense of retreat. Nature suites combine contemporary alpine design with calming neutral tones, freestanding bathtubs and private balconies that frame mountain views. Evenings become an invitation to unwind completely, whether through quiet reflection or simply absorbing the stillness of the surroundings.
The programme’s appeal lies not in dramatic promises but in subtle shifts. By the time guests prepare to leave, many discover that the greatest luxury was not the treatments or the scenery, but the rare opportunity to slow down enough to notice themselves again.
Private transfers from Innsbruck Airport can be arranged, making the journey into the mountains as effortless as the stay itself.
