Sweden 7, Norway 4 (Session 2)

Sweden showed its usual domination of a textbook win over Norway.

After Norway opened the game with a single, Niklas Edin’s team held the Norwegians off the board for five straight ends as they built a 5-1 lead.

In the eighth, Norway went for a takeout on their final stone, but it just side right by the Swedish stone and out of the house. Edin responded with an easy draw to the button that gave his team two more for a 7-3 lead with two ends remaining.

Edin removed two Norway stones in the ninth to clear the house. Norway had a chance to play for a blank, but instead they took the one and conceded the 10th, giving Sweden the win.

Sweden (2-6) outshot Norway, 90-81 percent, on all shots.

The defending gold medalists will finish their time in Cortina with a match against Czechia at 3:05 a.m. ET on Thursday.

Norway (4-3) has two games remaining. They’ll next play Switzerland on Wednesday at 8:05 a.m. ET.
