A man was arrested after firing several shots into a business at a strip mall located at 4531 New Bern Avenue on Wednesday, July 29.
On Thursday, detectives with the Raleigh Police Department identifed 19-year-old Maxwell Franks as the shooter.
Franks was arrested, his car was impounded, and is facing the following charges:
Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill Three counts of felony conspiracy 14 counts of felony discharge weapon into occupied propertyGo armed to terror of people Discharge firearm in city limits Flee/Elude arrest with a motor vehicleFelony Possession of marijuanaResisting public officer
He was also ticketed with the following infractions:
SpeedingReckless driving, wanton disregard No license Fail to heed light or siren
According to arrest warrants, Franks shot inside the Wingstop restuarant and several cars in the parking lot.
He is being held at the Wake County Courthouse without bond. He will appear in front of a judge at 1:30 Friday afternoon.
