BERN TWP., Pa. – A sedan driver was hospitalized after a chain-reaction crash involving two tractor trailers on Monday afternoon in Bern Township, according to Bern Township Police.
Police say the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on Monday, when a sedan traveling southbound tried to pass a tractor trailer and struck it. The impact pushed the sedan into the northbound lane, where it ended up underneath the wheels of a second tractor trailer.
The sedan driver was taken to Reading Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities. Both tractor trailer drivers were uninjured.
The road reopened by 5 p.m. The crash remains under investigation.
