DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Five people were arrested in Geneva County after three drug raids.
Geneva Police say that on Thursday, August 14, and Friday 15, investigators executed a search warrant at a home on East Railroad Avenue in Geneva and two search warrants at homes on East Weatherly Street in Black.
During the raids, police recovered over 1.2 pounds of marijuana, hemp products, kratom, meth, THC gummies, oxycodone, and other drug paraphernalia, according to GPD.
Geneva Police Chief Pepper Mock tells WDHN that the drugs were found near a 6-year-old.
Police identified five people arrested during the raids as Dexter Lane, Dena Lane, Velma Lane, Ashley Acreman, and Jerry Hildreth Jr.
Dexter Lane is facing unlawful possession of oxycodone, hemp products, kratom, marijuana, and illegal firearms; chemical endangerment of a child; and unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
Dena Lane is facing unlawful possession of hemp products and drug paraphernalia.
Velma Lane is facing possession of marijuana.
Acreman is facing unlawful possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and chemical endangerment of a child.
Hildreth Jr. is facing unlawful possession of meth, drug paraphernalia, marijuana, firearms, and a short barreled shotgun.
The raids were executed by the Geneva Police Department, Geneva County Sheriff’s Office, Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Parole, and the State Bureau of Investigation.
