GENEVA — A city man was charged over the weekend on a felony weapons charge, Geneva police said Monday.
Police said Nasir K. Carr, 23, was charged Saturday morning with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, along with a number of vehicle and traffic law violations.
Police said they stopped Carr on North Exchange Street, where they found a loaded handgun with a high-capacity magazine, a large quantity of money, several credit cards that belonged to other people, and an undisclosed controlled substance.
Carr was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment and was released without bail. He will appear in City Court to answer the charges.
