RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) – A Craven County man was left speechless after winning a Powerball prize.
The North Carolina Education Lottery has announced that Robert Bascom-Cohane, of New Bern, has won a $100,000 through Powerball.
Bascom-Cohane bought his $3 ticket using Online Play and randomly checked his account, completely surprised he won.
“I couldn’t even speak,” he said.
He took home $72,011 after required taxes.
He said he plans on using his winnings towards bills, home renovations, and a trip to see family.
