The cause of the outage is currently under investigation, an airport spokesperson said Wednesday in response to a query from the Keystone-SDA news agency. The “Blick” was the first to report the story online. Technicians are working around the clock with the supplier to get the system up and running again.

The partial outage had already caused delays and a few cancellations on Tuesday, the airport spokesperson added. Due to the system outage, eight landings took place outside of operating hours on Tuesday, after 11:30 p.m. Due to the reduced capacity, delays are also expected today, Wednesday.
