TAG Heuer have joined forces with Watches of Switzerland to offer a new, limited edition version of the Carrera Day-Date.

Only available through Watches of Switzerland, Goldsmiths and Mappin & Webb and limited to just 250 pieces, this new Carrera keeps the classic look of the ever-popular model while offering up an eye-catching icy blue dial on a 41mm case.

The hands and hourmarkers are made out of silver as is the day-date window frame with the black lettering standing out against the light blue.

The TH31-02 automatic calibre movement can also be seen through the caseback.

With the very limited quantity available, this Carrera Day-Date is retailing for £3,950.

Craig Bolton, UK President of the Watches of Switzerland Group commented, “We are incredibly proud to launch the new TAG Heuer Carrera 41mm editon exclusively across our three retail brands, Watches of Switzerland, Goldsmiths and Mappin & Webb, both in showrooms and online. The newest addition to the collection combines understated luxury, with an unmistakable sporting essence which has been at the heart of the iconic Carrera family since it first launched in 1963. It’s a privilege to bring this reimagined and contemporary design – which reflects the innovation, refinement, and enduring heritage of the brand – to watch enthusiasts across the UK.”

Rob Diver, UK and Ireland Managing Director of TAG Heuer added: ”We are delighted to launch the new TAG Heuer Carrera Day-Date Ice Blue edition exclusive to the Watches of Switzerland Group. With its rich heritage rooted in performance and precision, the TAG Heuer Carrera evolves with this Limited Edition and offers a vibrant expression. We are proud to bring this exclusive timepiece to watch enthusiasts across the UK through our longstanding and valued partnership with Watches of Switzerland Group.”

Earlier this year, TAG Heuer launched a unique take on their iconic Monaco model.

Building on TAG’s decades long association with motorsport, the Monaco Speed 12 is a limited edition piece that takes inspiration from the twelve cylinder engine by having twelve incredibly striking pistons encircle the dial. Each piston represents an hour, encapsulating this daring take on the jumping hour movement.

Manufactured out of grade five titanium, the design of the dial is firmly within the boundaries of what you would expect from the Monaco, but the rotating pistons on the black dial elevate the watch and emphasise both the mechanical history of the model and technical ingenuity on display.

The mechanical theme is furthered by the open workings on the dial which allow the wear to see into the magic behind what makes the Monaco tick.

Just 50 of the Monaco Speed 12 were created, each individually numbered, which is going to make this a hot collector’s item, especially after its splashy launch at the Monaco Grand Prix. The watch will retail for £66,000.
