Two of modern metal’s most influential bands are joining forces for a full-scale conquest of Europe.

Grammy-nominated metal titans, Trivium, and Swedish melodeath pioneers, In Flames, have announced a massive run across Europe including the UK/Ireland in spring 2027, with support from Paleface Swiss and Vola on every date. The trek marks one of the heaviest packages the continent will see next year, pairing a band that helped define 21st-century metal with the group widely credited as the architects of the melodic death metal sound, alongside two of the hottest up and coming acts.

The tour will see the two bands trade top billing depending on the territory. In the UK and Ireland, Trivium will headline with In Flames as special guests. Once the tour reaches Scandinavia, the roles flip, with In Flames topping the bill and Trivium as special guests. Everywhere else across mainland Europe, the two bands will share the stage as true co-headliners, with Paleface Swiss and Vola opening throughout.

Artist pre-sale tickets go live Wednesday, August 26 at 10 AM, CEST (9 AM, BST), ahead of general on sale Friday, August 28 at 10 AM, CEST (9 AM, BST), via Trivium.org and InFlames.com.

Trivium commented: “We’re beyond stoked to be joining forces with our longtime friends In Flames once again for another legendary run across Europe and the UK. With Paleface Swiss and Vola joining us, this is going to be one hell of a bill. A new era of Trivium is about to begin. We’ll see you out there.”

In Flames stated: “We are excited to return to Europe with our old friends in Trivium! Paleface Swiss and Vola round out an amazing bill. You don’t want to miss this epic night of metal coming YOUR way! See you soon…”

Fronted by vocalist/guitarist Matthew K. Heafy, alongside guitarist Corey Beaulieu, bassist Paolo Gregoletto and drummer Alex Rüdinger, Trivium have spent more than two decades as one of metal’s most consistent forces. Breakout album Ascendancy was named Album of the Year by Kerrang!, went gold in the UK and sold half a million copies worldwide, later landing in Metal Hammer’s top 15 greatest metal albums of the century. Since then, two more gold/silver certifications, six straight Top 25 Billboard 200 debuts and a quarter-billion streams have followed. With 2025’s Struck Dead EP offering a taste of the new music already on the way and Rüdinger now behind the kit, this run marks the start of a new era for the band.

In Flames are one of the biggest metal bands in the world – never shying away from pushing their artistic boundaries, crafting music that’s as catchy as it is crushing. Formed in 1990, the band is considered one of the forefathers of melodic death metal and the purveyors of the ‘Gothenburg sound’. With now fourteen studio albums under their belt, countless successful tours around the globe playing with the likes of Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Judas Priest and Slayer – with millions of records sold and a massive fanbase worldwide, In Flames have proven to be an unstoppable force. From their 1994 debut Lunar Strain onwards, the band’s intricate twin guitar attack, melodic vocals and superb arrangements have given them a signature sound that has evolved throughout the years.

Zurich’s Paleface Swiss have exploded out of the extreme metal underground into one of Europe’s most talked-about live acts, blending deathcore, beatdown hardcore, and nu-metal into a sound as brutal as it is emotionally raw. Fronted by the magnetic Marc “Zelli” Zellweger, the band’s 2025 album Cursed and its 2026 follow-up EP The Wilted have cemented their reputation for punishing riffs and ferocious, electric shows, making them one of the hottest new acts on the global scene.

Hailing from Copenhagen, Vola are a Danish-Swedish progressive metal outfit known for fusing tech-metal, djent, and electronica with soaring, atmospheric songwriting. Since breaking through with 2016’s Inmazes, the band has built a devoted global following and amassed tens of millions of streams, with their 2024 album Friend Of A Phantom – which featured a guest appearance from In Flames’ own Anders Fridén – further showcasing their genre-melding sound.
