The visitors got off to a better start and celebrated twice early on. However, both Enzo Molebe’s supposed goal (5th minute) and an own goal by Thun’s Simon Lengen (7th minute) were correctly disallowed by the referee. Lausanne then tested goalkeeper Steffen with another dangerous shot before the Bernese gradually took control of the game.
After the break, Thun pushed hard to take the lead. In the 63rd minute, Brighton Labeau had the home fans cheering, but the video referee intervened: the forward had handled the ball. In the closing minutes, Lausanne defended passionately against the charging Thun players. Since the Oberland side could no longer break through the defensive wall—despite the fresh legs of Fabio Saiz and Nils Reichmuth—the match ended in a fair 0-0 draw. As a result, both teams missed out on the hoped-for leap into the upper half of the standings.
