Geneva residents are invited to learn about the city’s future direction at the 2030 Strategic Plan community up date at 6 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Geneva Public Library, 227 S. Seventh St.
The Strategic Plan Advisory Committee is hosting the interactive event, which is designed to be engaging and informative as attendees learn about different aspects of the plan, officials said in a news release.
The committee will begin with an overview presentation, followed by opportunities to examine the city’s priorities, progress and performance indicators for the six plan goals, as well as SPAC subcommittees, according to the release.
City leaders rely on the strategic plan to identify goals, prioritize resources and guide development to ensure a vibrant, prosperous community. Feedback from the meeting will help SPAC determine next steps and future outreach efforts.
The Geneva 2030 Strategic Plan was developed with broad community input, according to the release.
It focuses on six guiding principles: strong governance; informed residents; purposeful growth and economic vitality; a safe, active and welcoming community; environmental stewardship; and quality infrastructure and services.
