19 appointments, countless new watches, 485 iPhone pictures and 24,976 steps later, it’s fair to say I had a very pleasant 24 hours at Geneva Watch Days. The first Thursday in September in Geneva is like the first Monday in May in New York; both are reserved for big events where the cities are taken over. Geneva Watch Days and the Met Gala; same same, and probably just as many watches on show at both.
I had a field day trying on all the latest new releases from brands ranging from household names Breitling, Oris and Bvlgari to indie icons like Dennison, Czapek and Ming. These are the pieces that not only looked majestic on my quite tanned (if I say so myself) wrist but better still, I can actually imagine wearing them as my daily driver, every day. Because not all watches are created with that in mind. Tune in later to see all the maddest new watches too.
Dennison ALD Elements
I’ve managed to go 41 years without developing any real addictions in my life (aside from a sweet tooth) then bam, I come across Dennison watches and suddenly I’m hooked. I have an ALT dual time and it gets the most likes within my burgeoning collection, but this Aztec-esque dial takes my horniness (sorry) for Dennison to a new level.
