Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to Reuters, Russell Hardy, CEO of Vitol, the world’s largest independent oil trading company, emphasized that global demand in this sector has decreased by 1.5 million barrels per day this year compared to last year.
He added that the Bab al-Mandab Strait has affected Saudi Arabia’s daily oil exports by 2 to 3 million barrels.
It should be noted that the Yemeni armed forces had previously announced a ban on ships related to Riyadh passing through the Bab al-Mandab Strait in response to Saudi aggression against the country.
Economic affairs expert Salim al-Ja’dabi also emphasized, referring to Yemen’s ban on ships related to Saudi Arabia, that the country’s oil exports had fallen from seven million barrels per day to three million barrels, which is the lowest level in the past nine years.
