Bradley Chubb’s time with the Miami Dolphins is over. The 29-year-old linebacker looked like his old form in 2025, starting all 17 games and putting up 8.5 sacks, 20 QB hits and 47 tackles. It was a massive comeback after a torn ACL sidelined him for the entire 2024 season.
But despite that production, the Dolphins’ 7–10 finish and a looming financial mess made their split inevitable. With a massive $31.2 million cap hit scheduled for 2026, the front office had to choose between a veteran star and the team’s long-term budget.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz shared the news, penning, “The Dolphins and two-time Pro Bowl pass-rusher Bradley Chubb are parting ways, making the 29-year-old a free agent.”
He added, “In his two full seasons with the Dolphins (2023 & 2025), Chubb has 20 sacks, 8 FF, and 117 tackles. He should have a nice market.”
Miami was reportedly desperate for cap relief, and letting go of Chubb’s contract is the quickest way to get it. However, now that he’s hitting the open market, fans are already calling for Jerry Jones to pick up the phone.

Alongside the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots, the Dallas Cowboys‘ name is on everyone’s lips in the Bradley Chubb sweepstakes. While franchise quarterback Dak Prescott remains the face of a potent offense that ranked 2nd in total yards during the 2025 season, the defense was a historically bad liability.
To fix the mess, Jones cleaned house and hired 34-year-old Christian Parker away from the Philadelphia Eagles. As the youngest defensive coordinator in franchise history, Parker is tasked with rebuilding a unit that consistently let the team down during their 7–9–1 campaign.
So, adding a veteran like Chubb is exactly the kind of move the “Dallas Nation” expects to see.

One fan wrote, “Could and should the Cowboys be in on Bradley Chubb? This is the kind of free agent signing paired with an incredible defensive draft that can turn the defense around QUICKLY.”
Another viewer added, “His got Cowboys written all over him.”
A third one noted, “Another pass rushing option out there now. (Cowboys).”
The fourth one predicted, “The Dallas Cowboys are signing Bradley Chubb to a team friendly multi year deal.”
Mauricio Rodríguez tweeted, “Bradley Chubb makes sense for the Cowboys.”

Chubb would address a clear need for the Cowboys as an experienced pass rusher who can ease the load inside and pressure quarterbacks. If Dallas signs him to a reasonable deal, it could help patch some of the problems that troubled the franchise in 2025.
