Switzerland is set to host the AI Summit 2027 in Geneva, a move that reinforces the nation’s leading role in digital policy, according to the Swiss Confederation President, Guy Parmelin.

Speaking at the Swiss Pavilion during the ongoing AI Impact Summit, Parmelin highlighted his fruitful discussions with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The summit, currently underway at Bharat Mandapam, features over 500 global AI leaders and senior officials.

Parmelin stressed the landmark event as pivotal for shaping the international discourse on AI’s ethical use and impact. Hosting the summit aligns with Switzerland’s commitment to innovation, research, and a rules-based international order.
