On the same day Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, held separate meetings with representatives of the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Switzerland, where they discussed the results of the first day of negotiations and coordinated further steps. After the first day’s results in Geneva, the next round of negotiations and an expected meeting between the sides in the near future were announced.
Head of the Russian delegation Vladimir Medinsky called the next round “difficult but businesslike.” According to Zelensky, the sides demonstrated “constructiveness” regarding monitoring the ceasefire, and the United States would definitely participate in this process.
