Running: Grant Fisher finished second Wednesday in the Lausanne, Switzerland, Diamond League 5k. He clocked a 13:08.51 amidst downpour conditions, finishing 84-tenths-of-a-second behind winner Isaac Kimeli of Belgium. Fisher may race the league finals next Wednesday and Thursday in Zürich, Switzerland, as he prepares for the World Championships mid-September in Tokyo.

Utah Olympic Park: The Flying Aces All-Stars Freestyle Show will return to the park Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. Fans will get the opportunity to see some of their favorite skiers soar into the pools for $20 a person or $70 for a bundle of four tickets. It is the Aces second to last weekend at the park, and they will wrap up their summer season over Labor Day weekend.

Park City High School: The Miners girls soccer team took down Judge Memorial Catholic Thursday 4-3 in overtime after overcoming a 3-1 halftime deficit. The Miners are now 2-3, winning their last two games in overtime after starting the year 0-3. Park City will next face Jordan Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the North 40 Playing Fields. 

The Miners girls volleyball team fell to Brighton Tuesday three sets to two. Park City won the second and fourth sets in the game. The Miners sit 0-2 on their season heading into Friday night’s matchup with Uintah. 

The Miners girls tennis team took down Cottonwood Thursday. Park City saw wins at the one, three, five and six singles spots and the one, two, three and four doubles spots. The Miners are now 4-1 in dual matches this season. Park City will next face Judge Memorial Catholic Tuesday at home. 

Climbing: The North American Cup Series will wrap up this weekend at the USA Climbing National Training Center in Salt Lake City. Over 150 of North America’s best climbers will compete.
