Sunlight now pours through towering windows as workers roll in new equipment at the Geneva Family YMCA, which is wrapping up a $5 million renovation, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The four-phase project adds a 10,000-square-foot annex with a larger strength and fitness center, senior lounge, updated locker rooms, and new community space. Contractor Massa Construction led the overhaul, while crews kept the Y open during construction. The gym will reopen with new lighting, flooring, and glass backboards.
Leaders admit membership dipped during the yearlong work but expect it to rebound once doors fully reopen. The Y plans a mail campaign to highlight upgrades, though parking lot repairs still need funding.
