Iran’s foreign minister says he will meet a US delegation in Geneva on Thursday again for the next round of talks over the country’s nuclear program.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke to US broadcaster CBS from Tehran on Sunday.

Araghchi was asked about a draft proposal of a possible agreement over the nuclear issue which is expected to be presented to US special envoy Steve Witkoff.

The Iranian minister said, “We are trying to make it something which consists of elements which can accommodate both sides, concerns and interests.”

He added that at the meeting, “We can work on those elements and prepare a good text and come to a fast deal.”

The US news website Axios on Sunday quoted US officials as saying, “The current diplomatic push is likely the last chance President Trump will give Iran before launching a massive US-Israeli military operation.”

Attention is now focused on how far Tehran will compromise in the negotiations.
