The Halloween celebrations have already started going into this Halloween week, and in New Bern, there was fun for all ages.
From the spooky, to the silly and everything in between, New Bern’s Halloween celebration had all kinds of tricks, and treats.
This is why we do it, for the community and for people to participate and have a good time.
New Bern parks and recreation director Carrie Warren says the Halloween celebration is fun for the whole family, including the pups.
We’re having a huge Halloween party here in the park where you have the witches ride that took off at 5 pm, we just wrapped up our costume party.
And one young witch brought home a special prize after her first time flying with the witches ride.
It was really fun, and afterwards they had a contest for best decorated bike and Best Costume, and I got first place for best costume.
Hannah and her family say they are looking forward to next years ride, and she has a special message for the community.
I hope everyone has a happy Halloween and a good rest of their day.
If you missed out on this years’ Halloween celebration, it will be back around the same time next year. However, in the meantime, there are still a few photo opportunities up at Union Point Park that you don’t want to miss.
