SWISS flight LX1413, en route from Belgrade to Zurich, made an unscheduled landing in Friedrichshafen at midday on 7 July 2025. The reason for the diversion was multiple warning indications from the Airbus A220-300. The crew responded professionally and immediately diverted to the nearest suitable airport. After landing in Friedrichshafen, passengers were able to disembark the aircraft in an orderly manner. There were 115 passengers and 5 crew members on board. All passengers and crew are safe and well.

The passengers have since been transported from Friedrichshafen to Zurich by several coaches and have either continued their journey home or been rebooked onto connecting flights. Our crew members are also currently travelling to Zurich by road.

A team of our technicians has now arrived on site and is inspecting the Airbus A220-300. The focus of the current investigation is on the aircraft’s air conditioning systems. A connection to previous incidents can be ruled out at this time.

SWISS would like to thank the airport operator in Friedrichshafen and the local authorities for their exceptionally cooperative support. We also wish to sincerely apologize to our passengers for the inconvenience caused.
