NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) – First responders in New Bern are asking the public to avoid Walmart as a gas leak broke out this afternoon.
The supercenter is located at 3105 MLK Boulevard.
New Bern Fire-Rescue and Police are at the scene as shoppers evacuate from the building.
Police say a contractor struck a gas line near the Garden Center entrance.
Piedmont Natural Gas is heading there to fix the issue.
