After over 15 and a half years of successful association with Airbus, Praveen Voona has joined ABB as HR leader (people & culture business partner-ABB Robotics India, MEA)
After completing a BTech in Electronics and Telecommunications, Praveen Voona went on to obtain an MBA in HRM from Indian Institute of Planning and Management, in 2010.
For three months he interned with Max Life Insurance before joining Mercedes Benz Research and Development India as management trainee-human resources, in September 2009. A year later, he moved to Airbus, as senior executive -HR. Five years and eight months into this role, he was elevated to HR generalist. He played a significant role in building the foundational HR ecosystem as one of the earliest HR team members in the country. Among other responsibilities, he led HR operations and compliance with accountability for employee lifecycle management, onboarding, HR policies and SOPs, audits and statutory adherence.
Over seven and a half years later, in 2018, there came another promotion that made him head of recruitment and employment marketing, HR digitalisation + HRBP for engineering BU.
He then got elevated to head of employment marketing, Airbus India & South Asia (talent attraction).
January of 2022 saw him reaching the position of head-HR for Airbus India GCC-digital information management India (regional senior HRBP).
Now, in his latest assignment at ABB, the electrification and automation solutions company, he will play HR leader (people & culture BP-ABB Robotics India, MEA). Voona’s HR approach is based on the conviction that a company’s success is intrinsically linked to the empowerment and engagement of its people.
